A Summer Story by Faith Ayelabola

The sun can be seen from my window and the rays from outside hit my bedroom chair, warming up my skin. This reminds me of summer time because it is beautiful and the sun is always shining on my face.

The warm air is all around my room and my window is open to let the breeze blow through. I can see red flowers dazzling in the summer sunshine and busy bees buzzing around the lavender bush. The grass is bright green and it waves from side to side like it is dancing to a beautiful sound.

Summer time is always hot enough to make your ice cream melt in your hands. Bugs are humming in the tall, soft grass and butterflies are fluttering all around the blue sky.

I can see a bird standing on a branch and calling out to friends.

“Tweet! Tweet!” It cries in a loud but sweet voice and soon another bird flies in to say hello. These are the things that I love most about summer!
