BBC Digital Journalism Apprenticeship- Apply Today!

Are you a journalist of the future?  Can you see yourself working on the Six O Clock News, Panorama, Newsnight, Newsbeat or the Today Programme?

For the first time the BBC is offering journalism apprenticeship places to talented, creative young people with a passion for story telling and an eye for the future. You’ll get the chance to work with the biggest and most respected newsgathering provider in the world as one of our Digital Journalism Apprentices.

You’ll be writing stories, breaking news on social media, finding guests, setting up filming and even seeing your own news stories make it to air to be watched by millions. You will help shape the future of news.

The apprenticeship is paid work with a formal journalism qualification at the end of it. It’ll be tough and you’ll have to pass all the coursework but it’ll give you experience and the chance to compete for jobs in the BBC and the wider media industry.

It’s not for people with degrees or even studying for degrees. We’ll be looking for non-graduates who are 18 or over and have at least five GCSE’s ( Grade A-C including Maths and English). Nothing else on paper, just something that really makes you stand out from the crowd. We’re looking to reflect our audience so if you don’t think we’re representing you or your background enough then apply and make the difference.
