Look Up Book Review by Nasara Sanda

Look Up! by Nathan Bryon

What is the book about?

“Look Up!” is about a lovable space-obsessed girl called Rocket who wants to be an astronaut. She spends most of her time looking up into the sky using a telescope. Rocket is also so  excited because of the impending amazing PHOENIX METEOR SHOWER!!. Rocket wants everyone to see the meteor shower with her so she made flyers to give to other people. The book also mentioned Rocket’s brother (Jamal) who spends most of his time looking down on his phone.

What do I like about the book?

The colourful pictures in the book bring this story to life and makes me pay more attention when I am reading. I also like the ‘Did you Know’? questions about space because I knew the answers to some of them. Also the fact that her brother actually stopped looking down on his phone to talk to her and make her feel better. I have learnt a lot of lessons from this book, for example when someone is upset, I need to stop what I am doing and make them feel better. Also, Rocket is a determined and independent character so, that makes me like her. I learnt to be independent, belief and never give up.

Will you recommend this book to others:

Yes, because it has beautiful pictures and Rocket never gives up.
